Cock.li offers all its services for free and is one of the only providers that has never required your photo ID, phone number, or any personal information to register or keep your account. We believe this open access to e-mail is critical infrastructure and this conviction drives everything we do.

We encourage anyone with the means to consider making a donation with Monero or Bitcoin. By donating with cryptocurrency you directly help us do what we've always done without compromise.

Cock.li provides two different funds for different purposes, and this allows donators to vote with their money. Do you want your donation to support the people who spend their time maintaining this service, or do you want to donate to our operating expenses? The choice is yours with TEAMSAFU and SERVICESAFU.

TEAMSAFU

By donating to TEAMSAFU you are supporting the people that develop and maintain cock.li. Our team places themselves at extreme risk to operate this service, and those risks have only been understated publicly. TEAMSAFU is a recent addition to the service after over a decade of volunteer work. That's right, for more than 10 years no one at cock.li received any money for their work, if only to demonstrate that we will never be corrupted by money. The initial launch of this fund was successful enough that we hid the donate page for 11 months until we felt that our work had caught up with the donations received. Whether we just felt lazy and self-conscious or were seriously dedicated to doing right by our users is up to you to decide. Maybe it's a bit of both, but now that we are developing our own webmail client there's no time to be lazy anymore. Fuck.

In contrast to the other fund detailed below, by donating to TEAMSAFU you are telling us to spend your donation as we see fit and are telling our team that you appreciate both our work on the service and the risks we take to provide it. SERVICESAFU

SERVICESAFU is cock.li's operating expense and rainy day fund. In contrast to TEAMSAFU, this fund is run as tight as possible and is only spent when required to continue operation of the service. Thanks to generous support from our users in the first decade of our existence, SERVICESAFU continues to be funded to support the site for the foreseeable future.

Donation Reports

We used to provide periodic public reports of SERVICESAFU donations and expenses. After failing to provide these updates for a few years, we eventually decided that because the successful management of this fund is obvious on the "block chain", public reports are redundant and unnecessary extra work.
